First Night Hartford is the region’s community celebration of the New Year through a showcase of our capital city’s arts and cultural abundance. It is an inclusive and accessible celebration that marks the passage from the old year to the new with art, ritual, and festivity. The day is a multicultural, artistically unique, New Year’s Eve experience with countless professional musicians, artists, performance groups, all-ages art activities, and exhibits that inspire thousands of people of all ages to attend year after year. It’s also an affordable way for us all to ring in the New Year together!

Hartford celebrated its 36th First Night tradition on December 31, 2024, in Bushnell Park and throughout Downtown Hartford.

First Night Hartford, Inc.., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN #22-2970922) that produces both First Night Hartford and Hartford Bonanza with support from individuals, grants, and sponsorships. Your donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by IRS code.
